Benefits of Elevate Movement and Recovery Over Physical Therapy

Imagine you’ve injured yourself (you tore your ACL) or you’ve decided to do something about your chronic pain (you’ve had enough of lower back pain slowing you down)...well maybe you don’t have to use your imagination too much. You want to address your issue head on - but now what? There seems to be many different types of medical providers to turn to, so how do you know who can best help you?

You may initially consider a physical therapist. However, you may find that traditional physical therapy has drawbacks such as insurance limitations, minimal individual time with the provider, and the necessity of two to three visits per a week ranging from a $25 to $75 copay per session. Potentially more importantly, the goal of most physical therapy is to just return the patient to being able to navigate everyday life.

So what if you’re looking for more support than to be able to walk up and down the stairs? What if you’re looking to return to physical activities like cycling, running, lifting, and climbing? Fortunately, Elevate Movement and Recovery is here for you.

Our practice’s model was designed with the athlete in mind. With over a decade of experience, Michael Eckert knows a quintessential part of the recovery process is time with a provider who has adequate and varied knowledge to inform a personalized path forward to returning to physical activity. At Elevate Movement and Recovery, you’ll work one-on-one for the duration of the appointment and are also given an at-home exercise program and the education to take control of your pain or injury. The goal of these longer sessions is to reduce your number of weekly visits while promoting a faster recovery.
